I recently read an article about Honey Ltd. from an online magazine, and realized that I've been listening to you since 1968. I'd like very much to locate a recording of Come Down (by Honey Ltd). If anyone can possibly assist me in my search, I'd really appreciate it.

You were great Laura at all three Kid Rock concerts I attended in Ohio. I won three meet and greets for all of them. It was nice to hear you and Karen as backup.
You are just great Laura your music and all. Alto signed
my Pep Perrine guestbook and so did Bobby Ritchie as BJR.
He was mad at the time he signed it because he kept getting booted out of his aol messenger while chatting with me.

HI Laura--this is really a great site! Congratulations! I listen to a lot of Bruce Hornsby and I think he is one of the finest singer songwriters ever. I saw you sing with him live sometime in the early or mid 90's at Universal Amphitheatre and, as is clear from your superb work on his albums, you add enormously to his songs and his sound!! Your fine vocal stylings remind me of other distinguished backup singers like Carlene Carter (I think that spelling is correct) and Katie Markowitz who has added so much to James Taylor's career and sound over the years. Way to go Laura, thanks for all the beautiful tones and sounds and great feelings you express. Sincerely, ALDEN MARIN PS--I find myself wishing i could hear you sing with Mary Chapin Carpenter and her guitar player John Jennings...now THAT would be fantastic...do you know them and their work?

As I wrote earlier (in the communal write space) I downloaded your song "There Is Love", used that and others to make a CD - an eclectic CD. I heard numbers of people talking (asking) about your song. And lately, I keep getting emails asking for the 'whereabouts' of the song from people who are on their way to that institution. But need help finding your song. Don't know if anyone has ever said this to you ... You are really good. Thank you for that.

My daughter is getting married. (In MI, oddly enough.) So, with nothing better to do (?), I'm putting together a wedding CD for her. With my limited tastes, I ran out of ideas after "Do Wah Diddy". So, I asked for help. My sister brought up 'The Wedding Song'. Needless to say, iTunes doesn't have the song by Paul Stookey - though a number of alternative versions are available. I heard your version of the song. I downloaded it and listened to it. I cried - something I do not do when I listen to 'Do Wah Diddy'. Your song is beautiful. Thank you.

Laura:
Congratulations on all your success. Seeing you with Bob Seger in the Detroit Free Press (I was born in Detroit), I had to write. You couldn't possibly remember me but might remember this: Back in the late 80's, I recorded some original material (I was the lyricist) at Sounder Recording in L.A. with Brian Mann. I was introduced to Brian by my dear friend whom I believe you also know - John Flores. You and two other gals you hired sang backup on four tunes we recorded. It was a memorable experience for me to work with such high-level talent!! Unfortunately, my partner got discouraged rather quickly and nothing ever became of our desire to sell our songs. Oh, well, that's the way it goes!!
Anyway, that's about it. Again, congratulations on your success. You're a fabulous singer!
Best,
Terry Gatesh

Dear Laura,
At the opening of the bridge between Sweden and Denmark July 1st, 2000, a short movie was sent in swedish television with you singing the wonderful Celtic song. The song was from a movie by Tim Godfrey called ”A whisper in the wind”. I have searched for the music but with no succes. Perhaps you can tell me where I can find the song or the movie on video?
Best wishes!

Dear Laura!
July 1st 2000 I heard you singing Celtic song from Tim Godfrey's movie A whisper in the wind. That was in swedish television in a live broadcast from the opening of the brigde between Sweden and Denmark. Greetings Laura,
I'm trying to reach John Rapp who has worked with you and Seger for
many years. I use to be in a band called Deluxe that he did some
recording for around '79 and '80. Also went with him to LA a couple of
times to work with Bob. Tell him Willie Oteri was thinking about him
and if you can put me in contact with him that would be great.

Best,
Willie Oteri

Hi, Laura - it's Woody from Amarillo. I found your website last night, and ordered two albums - one for me, one for Mark Hinton, who will be thrilled - it's going to be a surprise birthday present. I listened to the sound clips from your site, and I can't wait to get the album. It's good to hear you sing again. Take care - Woody

I finally found out who sang this great song on Highlander, when Duncan stands in front of the scottish castle doing sword exercises: It was you! First I thought the name of the song was "The keening of the three marys" and I found an instrumental-version on a CD with celtic songs. But I was not satisfied with that. I wanted YOUR version. Now I have it. Thank you for singing!

Hi Laura -- I just wanted to say hi and thank you for such a great performance (5 yrs later, sorry!) on "By Heart". I was 19 the first time I heard that song, and I am 24 now. That song and your voice helped me through a very personal time. Okay, well that was cheesey sounding, but hey, it's true nonetheless. Thanks once again and best of luck in all you do. -- Ian
